The Value of Moderate Adversity
At the risk of to much information, from nine years old on after my father died ( I looked up to him & was in denial that he was gone ) things changed. Suddenly I was not the popular kid in school. I had the special skill of disruptive behavior coupled with an active imagination. I never really had to much hope to succeed, wanted to be a rock star like a thousand other alienated teens. Failure was eminent because learning songs proved difficult for me which is why I only make up my own stuff on guitar nowadays.
I never got into art except a few clumsy attempts in school until the age of 27 when the “right” combination of ingredients, strange numerical phenomenon, & proper medium (mechanical parts supplied by my collector friend Jason) occurred. I am grateful & fortunate to have found a set of circumstance that resulted in a positive pathway
In summation, I would not change a thing, all the missed social perks, even the occasional fight, for I know this was the “rub” that helped give me the ability to persevere in life’s challenges & perhaps maybe, just a dash of uniquity
